Soldiers Angels is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization offering support to U.S. troops both stateside and overseas. Their goal is to ensure that “No soldier go unloved,” and they meet this goal by providing a virtual army of angels that write letters and send care packages to soldiers. In addition, they provide First Response Packs to soldiers who are injured and disabled that arrive at hospitals for treatment.
Individuals who want to assist the Soldier’s Angels may do so in a variety of ways, from joining a Soldier’s Angels support team, sending cards and letters to soldiers, adopting a soldier throughout their deployment, or simply sending a one-time donation to assist them in their efforts.
Soldier’s Angels is funded through corporate sponsorships, corporate donations and donations from private individuals.
Some of the many projects offered through Soldier’s Angels include:
- Blankets of Hope
- Project Valor-IT - providing laptops to severely wounded and disabled soldiers, as well as other technology that assists in their physical and psychological recovery
- Eagle Canes - providing handmade canes to disabled soldiers
- Operation Harmony - partnering with the Yamaha Music and Wellness Institute
