Miss Alabama Wins Quality of Life Award for Supporting P.A.W.S. for Autism

In a press release from the Miss America organization, the first place winner of the Quality of Life Award for the 2013 pageant was Miss Alabama for her work supporting P.A.W.S. for Autism.

"Las Vegas, NV - January 10, 2013 - The winner of the $6,000 award was Miss Alabama Anna Laura Bryan. Anna Laura's personal platform is P.A.W.S. for Autism-People and Animals Working Side-by-side. Miss Alabama has used her platform to be a champion for helping to provide people with Autism the right to be accompanied by a pet. She has lobbied for this and authored the Alabama Legislature House Bill 502. The announcement was made at Planet Hollywood during Thursday's Miss America press conference, and marks the last day of preliminary competition for the 2013 Miss America Competition.

The Miss America pageant will air live Saturday evening at 9pm EST on ABC. The pageant can also be viewed online here: Miss America.
